The Painted Path Studio

About ME
Eric Wieringa
My mission is to awaken hope, beauty, and connection. Drawing from my own artistic experience, I help artists and creative seekers cultivate purpose and renewal by aligning their work with their truest self.

After navigating my own major transitions, I now guide others through theirs with compassion, structure, and real tools that work.

I’ve been painting for thirty years, and what I’ve learned is simple: creativity transforms us. Making art is more than what we produce, it’s a practice that informs how we live, how we see, and how we grow. Art has carried me through life’s hardest and most beautiful moments, teaching me that the work on the canvas and the work of becoming ourselves are deeply connected. The Painted Path Studio was created to honor that connection between art and life, to help artists cultivate both their craft and the person behind the brush. I mentor because every artist deserves support, clarity, and a trusted companion on the journey. The Painted Path is a place to rediscover your confidence, move through creative blocks, and reignite your passion. Whether you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to grow, I’ll help you reconnect with your authentic self and bring your most meaningful work into the world. Art has taken on many roles throughout my life: it has sustained me financially, grounded me spiritually, spoken when I had no words, carried me through seasons of grief, and filled my life with profound joy. Over time, I began to see that painting a canvas and crafting the proverbial picture of our life are not all that different. Both ask us to bring something imagined into reality. Both draw us into the slow, sacred work of becoming; a space where creating and discovering are woven together. The same forces that shape a painting shape us: intention and accident, discipline and surrender, effort and grace. In the studio, we learn how to pay attention, how to trust what we can’t yet see, and how to build something meaningful one honest mark at a time. That realization became the foundation for The Painted Path Studio. I developed this program because I believe creativity is at the heart of what it means to be human. Through mentoring, workshops, and writing, I help artists rediscover their confidence, trust their process, and find meaning in their work. My aim is to awaken hope, nurture authenticity, and remind people that their creative voice matters. And like every artist I know, I’m familiar with the fears, doubts, and detours. The path is winding and unpredictable, and walking it requires a tolerance for the unknown. None of us are meant to navigate it alone. This is why I offer one-on-one creative mentoring. It’s for the artist who feels stuck or overwhelmed, the person who put their creative calling on hold, or anyone needing clarity, encouragement, a truth-bomb, or a gentle untangling of the knots that keep them from showing up. And honestly, it’s for people like me, people who sometimes need another wise voice to help them see what’s already true. I love this work. In our sessions, I listen closely to what’s unfolding in your life and your art, help identify the obstacles in your way, and offer strategies shaped by decades of painting, teaching, and creative exploration. Whether you need technical guidance, mindset support, or a fresh way of seeing, we’ll reconnect you to the creative force that wants to move through you. Ultimately, my purpose is to spark hope, the kind that grows outward, creating its own widening circle of love and renewal. I want to help people return to their art and return to themselves, and to find the courage to bring forth the unseen masterpiece within them. In the end, making my own art has been my greatest teacher. But I’ve always needed guides, people who helped me see the meaning in the mess, the beauty in the struggle, and the deeper story taking shape beneath the surface. I’ve been fortunate to learn from many of them. Now, The Painted Path Studio is my way of offering that same companionship to others, helping you walk your path with clarity, courage, and alignment with your soul’s true calling.
