The Painted Path Studio was created to honor the connection between art and life.

I’ve been painting for over thirty years, and what I’ve learned is simple: creativity invites transformation. Making art isn’t only about what we produce, it’s a practice that shapes how we see, how we live, and how we grow. Again and again, art has met me in life’s hardest and most beautiful moments, teaching me that the work on the canvas and the work of becoming ourselves are inseparable. The Painted Path Studio was born from that understanding. It exists to honor the deep relationship between art and life, and to support artists in cultivating both their craft and the person behind the brush. I mentor because no artist is meant to walk this path alone. We all need clarity, encouragement, and a trusted companion who can help us keep moving when the way forward feels unclear. Art has worn many faces in my life. It has sustained me financially, grounded me spiritually, spoken when words failed, carried me through grief, and filled my days with abundant joy. Over time, I began to see that painting a canvas and crafting the proverbial picture of our life are not all that different. Both ask us to bring something imagined into reality. Both draw us into the slow, sacred work of becoming; a space where creating and discovering are woven together. In the studio, we learn that the same forces shaping a painting are shaping us as well: intention and accident, discipline and surrender, effort and grace. We learn how to pay attention, how to trust what we can’t yet see, and how to build something meaningful one honest mark at a time. That realization became the foundation of The Painted Path Studio. I created this program because I believe creativity sits at the heart of what it means to be human. Through mentoring, workshops, and writing, I help artists reconnect with their confidence, trust their process, and rediscover meaning in their work. My aim is to awaken hope, nurture authenticity, and remind people that their creative voice matters. Like every artist I know, I’m well acquainted with fear, doubt, and detours. The path is rarely straight, and it always asks for a tolerance of uncertainty. That’s why I offer one-on-one creative mentoring for artists who feel stuck or overwhelmed, for those who’ve set their calling aside, and for anyone needing clarity, encouragement, a gentle untangling, or an honest truth spoken with care. It’s work I seek out myself, because even experienced travelers need another set of eyes to help them see what’s already true. In our sessions, I listen closely to what’s unfolding in your life and your art. Together, we identify what’s getting in the way and explore practical, human strategies shaped by decades of painting, teaching, and creative exploration. Whether you’re looking for technical guidance, mindset support, or a new way of seeing, the goal is always the same: to reconnect you with the creative force that wants to move through you. Ultimately, my purpose is to spark hope, the kind that radiates outward, creating its own widening circle of renewal. I want to help people return to their art and return to themselves, and to find the courage to bring forth the unseen work they were made to create. Making my own art has been my greatest teacher. But I’ve never walked alone. I’ve been shaped by mentors and guides who helped me find meaning in the mess, beauty in the struggle, and the deeper story forming beneath the surface. The Painted Path Studio is my way of offering that same companionship, helping you walk your path with clarity, courage, and alignment with what matters most.
